This is the quality we use by default for all our prostheses. Indian hair is the closest to European hair in terms of fiber diameter, texture, and natural behavior, which guarantees an optimal visual and tactile result for most of our customers.
Available on request, Chinese hair stands out thanks to its larger diameter and increased strength. It’s particularly suitable for customers looking for a more noticeable volume or density.
Soon to be available for custom-made pieces, European quality hair will be selectable directly on your personalized order form. It’s the rarest and most refined material.
Selecting donors
Everyone who contributes to the making of our prostheses is paid for what they provide. We work only with partners who compensate donors; we don’t support systems based on unpaid donation.
Harvesting in the direction of the hair
The hair is collected while strictly respecting its natural growth direction, from root to tip. This step is essential to avoid tangling and to preserve the hair cuticles, which ensures smoothness and longevity.
Uniqueness per prosthesis
Each BYSIX hair prosthesis is implanted with the hair of one single person whenever possible. This principle guarantees total consistency in texture, diameter and behavior across the entire surface. No mixed origins.
Treatment and preparation
Indian hair is used in its natural state, with no prior coloring. It can then be dyed by our teams according to the exact shade defined to match our color chart. It’s this custom coloring step that guarantees the most natural result possible.

Can you choose the hair quality when placing a custom order?
By default, all our prostheses are made with Indian hair, the quality best suited to most European users. Chinese hair is available on request. European quality will soon be selectable directly on the custom order form.
Is Indian hair already colored initially?
No. The Indian hair we use is naturally healthy and has no prior coloring. The shade is applied by our teams according to the color profile of our shade chart, which allows for a more precise and long‑lasting result.
Why use the hair of a single person per prosthesis?
Mixing hair from several origins introduces variations in texture and diameter that become noticeable in use (irregular behavior, different tangling, uneven color after dyeing, etc.). Uniqueness per prosthesis is a quality standard that we’ve maintained across our entire range for about ten years.
Is Chinese hair suitable for everyone?
Chinese hair is thicker than the European average. It’s particularly suitable for users with naturally dense hair or for very high-density prostheses. Our team can advise you if you’re hesitating between the two qualities.
