During your first consultation (diagnosis), an allergy test may be carried out to make sure your skin doesn’t react to the hair glue. Most of our partner salons do this test, but it isn’t required. We suggest you ask the professional ahead of time.
The allergy test is done by putting a small patch of hair glue behind your ear for 24 to 48 hours. If you don’t feel any discomfort (tingling, itching, tightness), your skin will handle the fixing method. If not, we recommend you go for hair adhesives.
Atopic skin
If you have skin that tends to be atopic (Seborrheic dermatitis, Eczema, Psoriasis, etc...), the allergy test is super important. BYSIX products are skin-safe and harmless, but wearing a hair system means it’ll be in place for 3 to 5 weeks. If you’re on a specific scalp treatment, just remember you won’t be able to use your care routine during this time.
Contraindications
There aren’t any specific contraindications for using hair glues. If you don’t feel any particular discomfort during the allergy test, your skin should handle the fixing method just fine.
