To start your customization, you need to pick the hair system model.
Ultra HD standard: 0.03mm polyurethane membrane.
Ultra HD Plus: 0.05mm polyurethane membrane.
Micro HD standard: 0.07mm polyurethane membrane.
Micro HD Plus: 0.09mm polyurethane membrane.
Total HD: fully lace base (Swiss or French).
U-Pro: tulle base with a thin rear polyurethane strip.
D-Pro: mainly polyurethane base with a tulle front edge.
O-Pro: tulle base in the center and polyurethane around the edge.
French lace is a bit rougher than Swiss lace. Swiss lace is the most liked for its softness and fineness. The difference between both lace types is super slight, pretty much invisible to the naked eye.
Choosing the type of lace is only available for Total HD, U-Pro, D-Pro, and O-Pro models.
This option lets you have a more natural look for lace bases. Our bleaching is 2/3 which is considered "okay" so you don't weaken the attachment point in the base.
Knot bleaching is only available for Total HD and U-Pro models.
With the U-Pro model, you can pick the width of the polyurethane. Default is 6cm in the center and 5cm on the sides, but if you decide to cut the base to your size, this band of polyurethane might not be enough anymore.
For the O-Pro model, you need to set the polyurethane perimeter size. This size will be the same for the entire edge of the hair prosthesis, including the front hairline.
The minimum length is 15 centimeters. However, you can pick a longer length (20cm, 25cm, 30cm). If you go over 30cm in length, a quote will be made based on production cost and sent to you after your order is confirmed. Prices change several times a year because of some factors, so it’s possible the price will vary depending on your order.
I send a hair lock: This option lets you place an order and send in your hair lock so our technician can figure out your shade. Check out this article for details about mailing your hair lock.
Shade based on the hair lock sent: If you’ve already placed a custom order before, you can pick this option. Our technicians will use your previous hair lock for your new order.
Custom creation: Go for this option if your shade isn’t in our color chart. Our team will create your color from scratch. This custom service is charged on your very first order. We’ll save your shade and you can reuse it for future orders.
Darkroot: When picking this color option, you’re choosing a blend of 2 shades. For example, dark roots (#1B) and light lengths (#613). You can pick the root length too, for example if your hair is 15cm long, about 3cm is roots and 12cm is the lighter color.
Other color: This one’s usually useful for pros. We don’t accept standard color references (dark brown, chestnut, blonde) or (mix of blonde and chestnut) or (light and dark highlights). We offer lots of shades that don’t fit the usual color chart, so those types of mentions won’t make sense to our technicians.
No white hair: This means you don't want to add any white to your base color.
Synthetic fiber: Choosing synthetic fiber means you won't need to do any anti-yellowing treatments. White hair can yellow over time. With synthetic fiber, the color stays the same for as long as you use your hair prosthesis.
Natural: If you want more than 50% white hair, we really recommend going with natural white hair, because the texture can be less pleasant otherwise.
Our synthetic fiber is not regular "synthetic hair", it's a high-quality fiber that can be heated up to 180°C and washed just like natural hair.
It's important to pick the right density for your hair system, because if it's too thick it can look a bit fake. Densities starting at 50% are considered super light, 80% are light, and 100% is a light/normal density.
Densities above 130% aren't really recommended for guys since they're very full and better for women. Learn more about density
For the standard Ultra HD model, the density option doesn't go past 100% because the base can't handle too much weight.
You can choose the implantation style to create your favorite look.
Freestyle : This is the most popular implantation style, because it lets you create any hairstyle you want. You can go for a messy/styled look, push all your hair up, or create a middle or side part. We generally recommend this implantation style.
En arrière : As the name suggests, this style gives you implantation going to the back, which is perfect if you only want to style your hair up. But if you sometimes slick your hair down onto your forehead, freestyle is usually a better pick.
You can choose from different edge shapes so you get a result that's close to your natural hairline.
We offer you a bunch of different wave styles, from "straight" to "afro." You can pick the one that suits you best. It's also possible to match any look you want by using a photo as a reference. If your natural hair is straight, we suggest you go for a barely wavy texture—this will look more natural than hair that's completely straight. Learn more about wave types
Equal to or less than 20 x 25cm : If your prosthesis size is a maximum of 20 x 25cm (20 is the width and 25 is the length), you should pick this option. But you can customize your size too, like 15 x 20cm or 22 x 23cm.
Greater than 20 x 25cm : If your size is beyond 20 x 25cm, it's considered a total hair replacement. In this case, we'll only make it using a mold so we can match the shape of your head.
Standard size : It's 20 x 25cm (width x length) and usually fits all our users. A trim will be needed before placing it.
Custom made from a new mold : This option lets you send us your new mold so our technicians can make the mold for your prosthesis. You'll need to use a mold if your measurements go beyond the standard size (20 x 25cm). Learn more about the mold
The fees for the new mold will only be charged with your new order. For future orders, you can pick the option "BYSIX already has the mold".
BYSIX already has the mold : If you've already made a previous order with a mold, this option is helpful and saves you from paying again for a new mold.
When you pick this option, you'll see a dedicated box to add the number of the previous order where this same mold was used.
I know my measurements : For this option, it's super important to know your measurements exactly for both length and width. The prosthesis will be made based on those, and the size can't be changed once we've started making it. So pay extra attention if you go with this option.
With this one, a box will appear so you can add your measurements.
When you confirm your custom order, you can pick your production time. The standard (10 to 14 weeks) option is selected by default, but you can pick Express for an extra cost. With Express, your custom piece will be ready in 4 to 6 weeks.
The "Add a comment" box lets you add a specific request for your custom-made piece. Depending on your requests, our team might contact you to adjust your order or the price of your hair prosthesis.
Just remember, any instructions written in this comment section might not always be followed. We mainly rely on your original custom order form.
Adding a photo helps give more details to your order form. You can use this spot to upload a picture of the wave you want, or the general style you’re going for.
You can choose to remove the extra front edge.
The extra polyurethane helps if you want to set the start of the hairline yourself. By default, the front extra piece is there. If you tick the box, that extra border will be removed.
This option is only available for models with polyurethane on the front line. Bases made of tulle won't be eligible for front excess removal.
